Someone answers every call.
When a woman in crisis picks up the phone, someone from our team is on the other end. Day or night. No name required. Your gift keeps that line open.
It's the middle of the night.
A young woman is sitting alone in a parked car, holding her phone. Nobody knows she's pregnant. Maybe she just gave birth. She is scared, and she has no idea what to do.
So she calls our hotline.
She doesn't have to give her name. She doesn't have to explain how she got here. Someone on our team picks up, and the first thing they do is listen.
By the end of the call, she knows her options. She knows the law in her state. And she knows she is not alone.

Meet the women who pick up
People know us for the baby boxes. But most of this work happens on the phone, long before a box is ever needed.
Caitlin, a Registered Nurse, and Pam, a Licensed Counselor, answer those calls. They don't judge. They pick up at 3 a.m. on a Tuesday and on Christmas morning.
And they never share what a caller tells them. Every call is confidential. Protecting every caller's privacy is the first rule of our hotline, and it always will be.
“If it wasn’t for you guys I wouldn’t know what to do.”
What your gift does
The hotline is one of the biggest costs we carry, and we never take a single dollar lightly. Here is what your gift makes possible:
$50
Directly supports community education and crisis resources
$100
Can send 100 brochures to a school
$250
Keeps team members on the line for one full day
Want to do even more? Make it monthly and keep the line open all year long.
A note from Monica
I was abandoned as a newborn. I know what it means for a mother in crisis to have someone on the other end of the line. That's why I fight so hard to keep it open.
Our goal is 1,000 friends giving before December 31, and gifts like yours are exactly how we get there.
The next time a mom calls in the middle of the night, someone will pick up because you said yes.

Safe Haven Education
In 2026, we expanded our mission to Safe Haven Education, funded with our own resources because communities needed it. Free state-by-state law summaries, printable brochures, and training help more people know the law before a crisis happens. Visit safehavened.org.
A mom may call tonight. Make sure someone picks up.
Every gift made by December 31 counts toward our goal of 1,000 donors.
Safe Haven Baby Boxes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your gift is tax-deductible as allowed by law.
